Our Mission 

Through a community-wide effort in the city of Flower Mound, the overall mission of the Around the Mound 5k is:

 

  *To support individuals with cystic fibrosis and their families as well as contribute 100% of the race proceeds to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 

*To promote fitness and invite families to participate in running and walking to enhance their physical, mental and emotional well-being

 *To increase cystic fibrosis awareness and provide education about treatment

 

Even if you may not be able to participate in the race, please consider making a donation  to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and get a race day t-shirt!

Walkers and strollers are Welcome!!  (No Pets please)

Event Schedule
7:00 AM: race day registration and packet pickup
8:00 AM: 1 mile race start
8:30 AM: 5K start 
9:30 AM: awards 
8:30-10:00am post race activities (refreshments, music, bounce house, face painting, etc.)

Cost:

5K Run/Walk

$20.00 pre-registration (through 5/20)

 $25.00 registration (5/20 - 5/31)

$30.00 on race day

 1 Mile Fun Run Led by Mrs. Texas United States Lacey Pruett (not timed)

$15.00 pre-registration (through 5/31) (includes t-shirt, gift bag, post race refreshments)

Awards and Prizes

*Overall and Master male and female finishers 
*Age groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69; 70+ 
*Chip timing is required to be eligible for awards. No duplicate awards given.

ChronoTrack Timing

The Around the Mound 5k  will use ChronoTrack timing system, which records your time precisely from start to finish. Chronotrack is the latest timing technology. Your timing tag is now disposable and will come with your bib number when you get your race packet. No more lining up to get your timing chip race morning, and no waiting to have your timing chip retrieved at the finish line! Awards will be based on gun time.
